STAFF TRAINING


Many countries have limited services for persons with disabilities and their communities. In partnership with the country’s educational institutions, government and disability organizations, we provide specialized training to increase the skills of special needs teachers, staff, church leaders, etc.

These programs train workers already employed in health care or other related services, as well as new workers hired to care for children with various physical and developmental disabilities. Our staff training program helps develop loving and skilled caregivers to nurture children who would otherwise have no one to care for them. Staff Training Takes Hold

In Russia, over 700 staff from 50 orphanages and government institutions have been trained through our partnership with Children Orphanages #1, an organization that supports special needs children in Russia.

In Ecuador, a special needs education program has been established with Salesiana University in partnership with CH Global and the Triangle Foundation, a local organization that supports people with disabilities. In 2008, 43 students graduated from the program and another 50 are currently enrolled.
