RESIDENTIAL SERVICES


In some countries, we establish homes for vulnerable children with disabilities or for children who have been orphaned or abandoned. CH Global provides a family-like setting in community houses where six to ten children live together. They are cared for by loving child-care workers who are selected and trained by CH Global to serve in the homes.

Ethiopia

In 1999, a three-year-old girl was found in a forest by Ethiopian soldiers on night patrol. She was severely malnourished, weak and terrified. She had few verbal skills and did not know her surname, date of birth or where she came from. The little girl did remember her first name, “Hana,” and was given a surname, “Serawit,” by the soldiers who rescued her. Hana’s biological family was never found. But she did find a new family in a residence operated by CH Global.

Today she is a healthy, beautiful twelve-year-old girl. She is in grade seven and has superior academic skills, especially in the sciences. Her ambition is to become a doctor.
