CHILD SPONSORSHIP

CH Global offers direct financial support to children with exceptional needs, children at risk and their families through our Child Sponsorship Program.
 
This program enables local people in the developing country to provide care for the child in need. As a sponsor, you provide a small monthly financial contribution which goes toward basic needs like food, clothing, medicine, housing and schooling.   Child sponsorship often leads to a special personal relationship between you and your sponsored child.  You may choose to send letters, pictures and special items to your sponsored child. Whenever possible, the children reciprocate with their own letters and hand-drawn pictures or crafts. Annual progress reports, country updates and other information are also provided to show how your generous gift directly impacts the growth and development of the child.

Sudan

Viola Simbi lives in Sudan. Her father and older sister died leaving her mother to single-handedly feed and clothe her only surviving child. There was no hope of providing medical care for Simbi who was ill with stomach parasites and appeared to have a hearing impairment. Sponsorship by a family in Western Canada profoundly changed Simbi’s life. She was provided with medical care which eliminated her stomach ailment and revealed that she was not hearing impaired after all.

A simple course of antibiotics relieved a middle ear infection that had caused the problem. Had she not received this early intervention, serious hearing problems would have resulted. Simbi is now well fed and clothed, and regularly attends a local primary school where she excels.
