		<description>Thanks for this story of courage.  I met Alemu four years ago, when he approached CH Ethiopia for assistance to the fragile association he chaired, a membership of 12 people who were mostly street beggars.  CH community staff worked with the association, strengthened their capacity through training, encouragement, and seed funding.  Today, the Assela Disability Association has over 120 members, has developed unique products such as coffee bean bracelets, and scarves sold through NationWares in Canada and locally in Ethiopia.  The Association just launched a broom factory with the support of CH grant, and  about 20 members are working full-time in this factory, owned by the Association.  They have now become a model for &quot;ability&quot;, determination, and self-sufficiency.  Alemu and Sisay are real inspiration and examples that when barriers are removed, the sky is the limit.</description>
